This week, TaC volunteers have visited the guardians over 30 orphaned and vulnerable children who applied for our sponsorship for secondary education. These visits help us to understand more about candidates’ family backgrounds and validate the information we are given in the application form. We can therefore make sure that we focus our support on those in real need.
In the next few weeks, students in Kenya will have places allocated at secondary schools. For those we select, we will pay full fees at a boarding school for four years, cover their school uniform and provide a pocket money allowance. This is a commitment of around £500/CHF700 per student per year.
This means that our talented students can be confident of having the support to complete their education – and join the over 220 students we have helped so far.
