Schools in Kenya were closed in April 2020, but luckily reopened nationwide on January 4th 2021. All 97 beneficiaries returned to school, which proves that our approach through local volunteers works well, even during times of severe crisis. All children finished their term. However, due to the deteriorating health situation in Kenya, it is currently unclear if schools will reopen after term break.
Our form 4 students were allowed to remain within their schools and sit for their final exams, which were originally planned for October/November – we wish all our form 4 students a lot of success in their exams!
