Anton

My father died when I was still young and ever since he left us, life has not been easy. This is because he was the breadwinner of our family. Due to the challenges that I faced together with my siblings I got determined and focused in my education so that one day I would help my mother and my siblings to have a better life. Due to my determination I was able to perform in KCPE and I still keep on praying that one day I will achieve my dreams in life.
My dream is to become a doctor. This is because I want to help the sick in our community get well. Aside from that I would also like to set a healthcare facility to help orphans that might not be able to collect all the required money to get treated. Lastly, I would also like to provide a better and a happy life for my family and especially my mother who struggled and had sleepless nights to ensure that I got educated in school despite the challenges.
My favourite subjects are maths, English and Science. This is because I find them easy to understand and enjoy learning them. Furthermore, they are key subjects when it comes to pursuing my dream career which is being a doctor.
Why become a sponsor?
This is an opportunity to transform the life of a child through the gift of education. Our beneficiaries are orphaned and other vulnerable children from poor families who cannot afford to pay secondary school fees. With support from Teach a Child – Africa’ (TaC), they are able to go to school and many progress to university.
You can give with confidence, knowing that your charitable donations are helping a needy youngster who will be known by you, giving them hope for the future.
How does Sponsorship work?
It takes a few simple steps to start sponsoring a child. Your donation will pay for their school fees, a uniform and a little pocket money for toiletries and other essentials. In return, we will send you a welcome letter and further details of the child. Each year we will update you on their performance and send you a letter from your sponsored child.
You will be able to write to your sponsored child via the TaC UK office. There is also an opportunity to visit the children each year in December when we hold an annual gathering in Kenya.
