Juma

My life has not been a bed of roses as people can think. I had past into tough moments since my father died. I was four years old I can’t recognize him since I was too young. After the demise of my father life was not easy. Our house was put on fire by unknown person and it made us to be chased away by relatives. I thought that make my mother angry and since that day she had never come back even to take a glimpse on us. We had to go to grandmother who is a peasant farmer, who took care of me and my two sisters. Sometimes we could go empty stomachs. By the grace of God if we get we take by thanks giving.
Education is important to me because it is the only thing that can make difference between me and other people. Education is the only thing that nobody can snatch from, it is the only thing that I can inherit.
My dream is to become an engineer (flight engineer) so that in future I will be dealing with aeroplanes with a failure. I also like to help some orphans with problems like mine. So that they can also achieve their dreams.
Why become a sponsor?
This is an opportunity to transform the life of a child through the gift of education. Our beneficiaries are orphaned and other vulnerable children from poor families who cannot afford to pay secondary school fees. With support from Teach a Child – Africa’ (TaC), they are able to go to school and many progress to university.
You can give with confidence, knowing that your charitable donations are helping a needy youngster who will be known by you, giving them hope for the future.
How does Sponsorship work?
It takes a few simple steps to start sponsoring a child. Your donation will pay for their school fees, a uniform and a little pocket money for toiletries and other essentials. In return, we will send you a welcome letter and further details of the child. Each year we will update you on their performance and send you a letter from your sponsored child.
You will be able to write to your sponsored child via the TaC UK office. There is also an opportunity to visit the children each year in December when we hold an annual gathering in Kenya.
