Eric Ohuma

Eric is a Medical Statistician by profession. He graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Applied Statistics from Maseno University, Kenya, followed by an MSc in Medical Statistics from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), UK. He is currently pursuing a DPhil at the Nuffield Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (NDOG), University of Oxford, carrying out research on statistical issues in the study of fetal, preterm and neonatal growth studies.

He has previously worked at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI)/Wellcome Trust Research center, Kilifi, Kenya as a Statistics assistant providing support to research scientists on various projects and offering statistical trainings. He joined Nuffield Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (NDOG), University of Oxford as a Medical Statistician in September 2010.

Eric believes in education as a powerful tool in empowering and transforming young lives. He is pleased to join the board of TaC and is looking forward to helping even more young people achieve their potential through education.
