Educating AIDS Orphans in Africa

'Teach a Child - Africa' (TaC) enables children who have been orphaned by AIDS to complete their secondary education. More than 12 million children in sub-Saharan Africa have lost one or both of their parents to AIDS.* Today we are providing bursaries to 37 children in Africa so that they can finish school and develop the skills to fight poverty and reach their potential in life.

We have started working with secondary schools and children in Kenya's Nyanza Province to fund their education. Primary schooling is free in Kenya, but children must pay secondary school fees and many are forced to drop out because their carers are too poor to pay.

We believe that every child has the right to complete their secondary education regardless of their gender, ethnicity, religion or political affiliation. Together we can help children orphaned by AIDS to finish school and reach their potential. Give a donation today and help to teach a child.
